Because nearly all of my lighting design is affiliated with my high school, I cannot legally post the photos on my own website (I am working to obtain the rights, but it is a complex matter). However, they may be viewed here (opens in new tab).

Experience in Live Entertainment – Chronological
Disclaimer: Years are to the best of my knowledge. This is an incomplete list, but contains the majority of experiences dated as close to their actual years.
2011 – Broadway Bits: Performed as a dancer in this school production, this was my first taste of theater.
2012 – The Jungle Book: Worked lighting and set construction. In the “scene shop” I, along with a team, fabricated cardboard overlays to place on top of folding steel chairs to create a quickly set up and struck throne for the king. For lighting, we used the integrated Red, Green, and Blue strips on the stage, and a warm halogen front wash. This simple 4 channel system was my first experience in lighting.
2013 – Seussical The Musical, Jr.: Worked lighting and Tech Crew. Using a 12 channel analog board, we ran 4 separate channels of lekos in tandem with the built in 4 channel system in the building, to light the show using 4 washes of unique colors.
2013 – Yes, Virginia: Working with a non profit, I was called in to operate a basic lighting apparatus very similar to the one from Seussical, as well as assistant stage manage.
2014 – Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Jr.: Helped implement a new wireless microphone system donated to the school, and began to work with a rented DMX and digital lighting system via a Cognito console. Additionally, was promoted to “Production Stage Manager” for the duration of the season.
2014 – Fiddler on The Roof, Jr.: Assisted with construction of flats and conversion of a prop boat from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Jr. into a bed for this production. Once scenic work was complete, I was on the lighting team and assisted with the testing and installation of a rented lighting package, including some of my first moving lights, as well as a clear-com system install.
2014 – The Great Gatsby: My first high school show, assisted with hang and striking of lighting equipment per the lighting plot, and operated a cognito console backstage running a secondary universe of RGBW SLPar155 fixtures.
2014 – Elf, Jr.: Assistant Stage Manager, Run Crew for this production. Involved helping with scenic and set construction, but majorily focused on the smooth running of the shows and ensuring the cast and crew were as organized as possible.
2015 – Legally Blonde: Member of lighting crew assisting with hanging and strike, follow spot operator during shows
2015 – It’s A Wonderful Life
2016 – Shrek The Musical: Managed a combined total of 2.5kW of fog machines backstage (not DMX enabled) for effects throughout the show.
2016 – Maddie & Tae at Northwest High School: Assisted with load in and helping the touring technicians orient to our facility, access 3 phase power, tap into DMX wiring, and adhere to local ordinances surrounding atmospheric effects
2016 – Fame (The Play): Promoted to Crew Chief/Lighting Designer, helped select, procure, and implement a brand new console (MA Dot2). Developed a multi-stage training curriculum based upon practical experience and virtual simulation via visualization.
2017 – Sister Act: Oversaw procurement of rental equipment and training program to bring technicians up to speed on DMX control.
2017 – Oz
2018 – Once On This Island: Final high school show, 8 total moving lights, a full RGB wash, and a variety of conventional fixtures ensured the design was as vibrant and lively as the show.
2018 – Six Flags America: Assisted with audio and lighting for live shows, events, and haunted attractions.
2019 – Six Flags America: Returned, in addition to original duties, designed and ran The Awakening arena show.
2019 – The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center: Regular shop hours, assisting with load in, load out, and inventory management for the performing arts of the University of Maryland.
2020 – Six Flags America: Asked to return for their winter season to oversee their stunt venue, including set upkeep, audiovisual systems, and ensuring guests complied with all COVID mask policies.
2021 – Six Flags America: Lighting Designer for all Fall and Winter productions across 3 unique venues. During the summer, worked with a team to restore and renovate haunted attractions. New to the park in winter is a proprietary power control system I developed to synchronize the “Tree Lighting Ceremony” as well as a projection mapping system integrated into the flagship venue for the first time in park history!
2022 – Six Flags America: Lighting Designer for all shows, part of the 2022 Creative Team for Fright Fest, introduced outdoor projection mapping installations for Fourth of July events, and a quad-projector mapping array for indoor magic shows powered by Isadora, and tied in via Open Sound Control to our show controls system.
